We invite you to choose from over 100 specializations in 26 fields of study, including philology, linguistics, culture, film and theatre studies, film production, management of art institutions and international communication.

Our graduates have a recognized and well-established potential. They are fluent in languages and possess open minds with well-developed imaginations and curiosity about the world. This gives them the competences and confidence to seek out and shape new paths professionally and develop existing ones. It also enables them to create original scientific and artistic solutions to problems, develop ideas that have a practical application, as well as set up their own companies. Come and join us!

Faculty

In the new academic year students of the Faculty of Languages studied 26 courses in the fields of Modern Languages, Classical Philology, Cultural, Film, Theatre and Media Studies, Management of Arts Institutions and Logopedics. The Faculty of Languages runs 6 of the most popular courses at the University of Gdansk (ranked within the first twenty in terms of popularity). There are also new courses is Japanese Studies and Creative Writing.

We invite potential students from abroad to study international courses: Cultural Communication, run totally in English, American Studies, English Philology, Applied Linguistics, and Management of Arts Institutions, which runs courses mostly in English and German.

Welcome to visit the Faculty of Languages which offers courses in the fields of philology, European literature, linguistics, sinology, cultural studies, film studies, theatre studies, film production, art management, cultural communication and Polish as a foreign language. As well as offering a broad range of subjects, the Faculty of Languages also boasts the largest number of students at the University of Gdansk.
